Enhancing Attendance Monitoring at AKTU with Live Facial Recognition

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) in Lucknow is set to revolutionize its attendance system by introducing live attendance tracking for both students and staff. This initiative will utilize advanced facial recognition technology, integrating biometric data like Aadhaar numbers, iris scans, and fingerprints to ensure accuracy and transparency. The Uttar Pradesh Development Systems Corporation (UPDESCO) has been tasked with implementing this system, which will also include a comprehensive CCTV monitoring command center to manage and maintain the database.

Key Features:

Biometric Integration: The system will use Aadhaar numbers, facial recognition, iris scans, and fingerprints.
Real-Time Monitoring: A command center equipped with CCTV will ensure live monitoring.
Transparency and Efficiency: Immediate identification and resolution of attendance issues.
This move is expected to significantly enhance the accuracy and reliability of attendance tracking at AKTU, fostering a more accountable and transparent academic environment.
